Remove the stems from the okras.
Coat the chicken pieces with salt and pepper and fry them on all sides. Remove from frying pan and place them in a clay pot or any heat proof pot you have. Add the okra, the tomatoes and all the seasonings. Stir well, add some more salt and pepper, if required, and finally add 1 1/2 cup of water.
Bake in 180 C for at least 1 hour or until the okra is tender and most of the juice has evaporated.
