400 g caramels
6 medium red apples
6 popsicle sticks
Wash the apples and remove the stems. Insert Popsicle stick halfway into the stem end of each apple. Set aside.
In a small saucepan melt caramels in water over medium heat. Stir constantly until the mixture is smooth.
Dip apples in the caramel mixture and coat completely. Drain any excess caramel and place the apples in a wax paper.
Store in the refrigerator. Before serving remove from the refrigerator and let them stand for 15 minutes.
