Put the meat cubes in the skewers.
Make a marinade with the juice of 2 lemons, salt pepper and oregano and dip the skewers in. Let them in the marinade for 10 minutes.
Cook the Souvlakia over a barbecue fire or under an oven grill. Turn them occasionally until they are evenly brown and cooked on all sides. Remove from fire and sprinkle with lemon juice and oregano.
Brush the pitas with some olive oil and place under the grill (or barbecue) until their sides begin to brown but not dry.
Place one souvlaki in each pita bread and remove the skewers. Add some tomato slices and a few onion circlets and fold the pitas.
Serve hot, with tzatziki and French fries.
NOTES: You can substitute the pork with chicken. You can also include tzatziki in the pitas or mustard.
