A traditional greek starter with raw garlic. Do not eat it if you are on a date!
1 medium sized cucumber, sliced
1/2 cup(s) olive oil
4 garlic cloves
500 g yogurt
1 teaspoon(s) lemon juice
2 teaspoon(s) dill, chopped
salt and pepper
Put the yogurt in a bowl. Peel and mince the garlic and mix it with the yogurt.
Peel and finely chop the cucumber; Put it in a kitchen towel and squeeze to force out the moisture.
Combine the yogurt with the cucumber, olive oil, dill, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Mix all the ingredients well and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Serve cold garnished with fresh dill.
NOTES: Serve with souvlaki and french fries or pita bread
