Bake these straight from the freezer and serve hot!
1/4 teaspoon(s) dry mustard
2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
1/2 cup(s) butter
100 g cream cheese
20 slice(s) Sandwich bread
1 cup(s) cheddar cheese
Remove crust from bread and cut in cubes. Melt cheese, butter and mustard in a skillet and stir frequently. Remove from heat.
Beat well the egg whites and stir them in the cheese mixture. Dip the bread pieces into the mixture scraping off any excess liquid with a spatula. Place the bread pieces on baking sheet. Freeze until firm.
Place frozen bread pieces on a buttered baking sheet and bake at 200C until puffed and golden brown. Serve hot.
